The biggest update yet: a coaching-pressure layer, a real development system, a rebuilt portal, a smarter draft, and retuned sim.
3.5 rebuilds five connected systems at once: a coaching-pressure layer that gives every season stakes, a player development engine you actually steer, a transfer portal that rewards how you coach instead of who you are, a Pro Draft that thinks like a front office, and a simulation retuned so the box score reflects who is actually good.
- Set a Focus for every player (Shooter, Floor General, Lockdown, Glass Cleaner, Slasher, Balanced) that steers where his growth goes.
- In-season growth is driven by his potential, his playing time, how well you develop players, and his class year.
- Offseason Training Camp: each player earns development points from those same factors, and you spend them to raise attributes toward 99. The higher a rating already is, the more it costs.
- Growth History tab (Team → Development): year-by-year OVR climb, redshirt years labeled, with a per-season step-through and the in-season Season Start to Now jump.
- The redshirt decision now comes after Training Camp, so you decide with his development in front of you.
- AD Preseason Expectations set your projected record and the goal for the season, with expectation level, donor pressure, and job risk behind it.
- End-of-Season Report Card graded against that goal: grade, crest, national rank, prestige change, and your AD's verdict, with a share button.
- Morale & Locker Room rebuilt (Stable / Tense / Fractured, plus portal risk). Talk to any player directly, and promises about minutes are real and enforced.
- Story Events: mid-season decisions featuring real players from your roster, with real consequences including suspensions. Tune Off / Light / Heavy in Settings.
- Job security now lives on the Contract screen, with the Hot Seat warning.
- Portal points scale with your open roster spots, so teams with bigger holes get more chances to rebuild.
- Recruiting skill matters: a strong recruiting coach wins more portal battles. Prestige helps but no longer carries it.
- Top transfers cost more and are tougher to win.
- Position crowding is respected: guards compete with guards, wings with wings, bigs with bigs.
- Better class balance and no free superteams: blue bloods with a couple open spots can't stack stars every year.
- Arrows on each side of the recruit card to step through prospects faster.
- More varied NIL interest and more sensible potential reads.
- Once a recruit commits to you, his true OVR and POT show instead of the old scouting estimate.
- Declare and stay-or-go logic now weighs draft position, OVR, potential, age, stats, role, efficiency, NIL, your development track record, and prestige.
- Mock and real drafts line up, built from one unified prospect board.
- Scoring retuned: stars carry the load, and low-overall players no longer pile up points they shouldn't.
- OVR calculation refined and now consistent across every screen.
- Big men no longer show inflated perimeter defense.
- Award voting tuned for more sensible winners.
- Game Preview Gameplan: see both teams' offense and defense and mix your own inline, with the projection updating instantly.
- Halftime adjustments redesigned: a sixth adjustment, a clean 3x2 offense and defense grid, and team logos in the scorebug.
- Post-game box score redesigned, and the same clean view opens when you tap a game from the schedule.
- Conference and national championships get new celebrations with logo glow, confetti, haptics, and sound.
- A league-wide social feed highlights opponent stars, top scorers, and big AI games, with clickable player names, plus more Empire Takes on the Selection Show.
- Career stats and records hold up better over long dynasties, and drafted players keep their Conference and National Player of the Year honors.
- Final rankings fold in March and conference-tournament results, so the champion finishes number one.
- Roster files can add a logo per conference (shown at center court) plus custom tournament round names.
- New Settings → Update Conference Logos applies logos to existing dynasties in one tap. Old roster files still work.
- Premium in-game notifications for the moments that matter; the old gray toast pills are gone.
- Team Color Mode defaults on for new installs (existing players untouched).
- Tabular figures on scores and clocks, bigger tap targets, and real press feedback on buttons and tabs.
- Injured players now actually miss the game they're listed out for.
- Fixed unresponsive taps along the top of every screen (a leftover invisible toast was silently swallowing them).
- Cleaned up scheduling issues.
- Selection Sunday "View Full Bracket" works again.
- Selection Show music no longer unmutes itself every time you advance a stage.
- Fixed a crash that could bounce you to the dashboard at the recruiting-window changeover.
- Fixed and correct tempo readings.
- And more.
