These terms cover your use of empiresportsapps.com, the free web version of Hardwood Empire at play.empiresportsapps.com, and our mobile apps (together, the "Services"), all operated by Empire Sports Apps LLC, a single-member studio based in Rhode Island, USA. By using the Services, you agree to these terms.
License to play
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to play our games and use this site for your own entertainment. The games, code, artwork, text, and branding are the property of Empire Sports Apps LLC and are protected by copyright. You may not copy, decompile, rehost, resell, or redistribute the game or its assets.
Not affiliated with any real institution
Hardwood Empire is a work of sports simulation. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NCAA, any conference, any university or college, or any professional league. Any resemblance to real programs is for simulation flavor only.
Purchases
The games are free to play. Optional one-time purchases (such as Remove Ads or God Mode) are available. On mobile, purchases are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. On the web, purchases are handled by Stripe; a purchase is tied to the email you use at checkout so it can be restored on the same device or another one. We do not store your card details. Refunds are handled according to the policy of the platform that processed the payment (Apple, Google, or Stripe). See Saves & Purchases.
Your saves
Game saves are stored on your own device. Because there is no account system and no server-side backup, we cannot recover a save that is lost when you clear your browser, delete the app, or change devices without exporting it first. Use Export Save to keep your own backup. We are not liable for lost local save data.
Acceptable use
- Don't attempt to rehost, scrape, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the game bundle or assets.
- Don't use the Services to break the law or infringe others' rights.
- Don't interfere with the security or normal operation of the Services.
No warranty
The Services are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the games stable and fun, but we do not guarantee they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or browser.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Empire Sports Apps LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost game progress, arising from your use of the Services. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, if any.
Changes
We may update the Services and these terms over time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date.
